I am a native Japanese speaker with over 10 years of teaching experience, offering online one-to-one and group lessons. For one-to-one lessons, I create a personalised plan to match each student’s needs and goals, and materials are either provided by me or purchased as a book. Many of my students study with me long term, taking regular lessons and achieving their goals. I have taught at Florida State University in the US and in the UK, working with learners from home-educated children to adults. I and am fluent in Japanese with teaching experience at undergraduate, primary, and secondary school levels. I have lived in Japan for 10 years have a Master’s Degree from the University of Tokyo.

I have a M.A in Japanese Language and Teaching and a Degree in Japanese Sudies. I have been teaching Japanese for different institutions for over 15 years, including Hong Kong Nihongo Kouza, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, JAL Japanese Training course, secondary schools. I also have over 12 years experience in teaching the Cambridge International AS Level Japanese Language (8281) with outstanding results (70% A grade, 100% D grade or above). I have two years of experience as a English-Japanese bilingual teacher at ECC corporate, a language school in Japan. From 2016 to 2019, I had the opportunity to teach Japanese to GCSE students and children at IIEL in London. Since 2019, I have been teaching Japanese online, specialising in JLPT, GCSE, and conversational practice. My lesson plans and materials are thoughtfully designed and tailored to each student’s level. I’m proud to say that all of my students have successfully achieved their goals.
