I have an undergraduate degree in Japanese and linguistics, a masters in professional voice and have lived in tokyo for a year. I currently teach private 121 Japanese lessons via zoom and have done so for the past year.
My speciality is pronunciation since I have in depth knowledge of phonetics, VPM (voice, place, manner) and of the evolution and etymology of the Japanese language. I teach with these factors in mind and often with cultural tidbits to explain certain linguistic aspects. Work experience in Japan in one of the major insurance companies being customer-faced as a claim adjuster and also being a bilingual PA with interpreter and translator role, I have a good knowledge and understanding of business Japanese.
