I spent 3 years living in Japan. 1 year as a NUPACE exchange student at Nagoya University and 2 years as a JET ALT teaching English in Toyama prefecture. Experience: 8 years of studying Japanese language and culture and 2 years of teaching experience. Over the last two years, I have privately tutored a number of University, secondary and primary school students in Japanese language and culture, a number of whom have successfully progressed to passing Japanese Language Proficiency exams, traveling to Japan and making Japanese friends. I teach via Skype online as well as in person for students who live in my local area. I have huge interests in Japanese pop culture: including anime, manga, J-Pop and J-Rock and make many of my own resources, including games and activities that incorporate these to help students who also share these interests.
